Coronavirus (COVID-19) Latest Information

COVID -19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways. It's caused by a virus called coronavirus.

Ashley Surgery is NOT closed

However until further noticein order to minimise the risk of the spread of coronavirus for anybody requesting an appointment we will initially offer our patients a telephone consultation with a GP.

Once you have discussed your symptoms with the GP, where appropriate you will be asked to attend the surgery.

NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do.

Use this service if:

  • you think you might have coronavirus
  • in the last 14 days you've been to a country or area with a high risk of coronavirus – see coronavirus advice for travellers and a list of high risk countries on nhs.uk
  • you've been in close contact with someone with coronavirus

Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:

  • a high temperature
  • a new continuous cough

You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.

DO NOT go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people. Call 111 if you need to speak to someone.

For specific information and advice contact nhs.uk

Further information and details of how to self-isolate are available on nhs.uk.

We have temporarily removed the facility to book appointments online.  This is a precautionary measure and we would ask patients to contact the surgery to book an appointment rather than coming in to make your appointment in person.

Thank you for your co-operation at this time.
